Bob Schutte is Founder and CEO of Superyachts Europe, an independent consultancy guiding buyers through every stage of acquiring a superyacht in the 25–100 meter range, whether pre-owned or new build.

A lifelong yachtsman with more than 40 years of experience, Bob has logged over 10,000 miles across Dutch lakes, the North Sea, the Channel Islands, and the West Mediterranean, building deep, actionable knowledge in yacht purchasing, sales, and ownership.

Bob began his career in the software industry. He worked for Pandata and developed projects for V&D, Makro, Unilever, Ballast Nedam, and NN. At 23, he served as Project Manager for Nationale-Nederlanden’s Annual Reports, collaborating with boards and senior leaders.

Bob (CCO) later co-founded the Dutch ICT firm BSO with Eckart Wintzen (CEO). He introduced a unique concept of autonomous growth within business cells and created new cells by spinning off excess growth. This snowball effect contributed to 10,000 FTEs, including a joint venture with Philips Origin. As a board member, he helped guide BSO into a major software group, and after the BSO/Origin venture, the company was sold to ATOS.

Bob then pivoted to the superyacht domain, transforming standard ICT project-management practices with the Yacht Europe System (YES) Methodology. He partnered with Frank de Visscher of V-Yachting to build an ambitious cross-channel marketing network connecting the Côte d’Azur with the North Sea through affiliated brokers in St. Tropez, Cannes, Antibes,  and Palma de Mallorca. This international-cooperation approach elevated V-Yachting’s profile and led to the listing of their first 50-meter mega-sailing yacht for €19 million, with sustained media coverage in Boat International and Superyachts magazines.

Over his career, Bob has founded and managed more than 20 companies across diverse sectors. He is a results-driven leader who turns challenges into opportunities, with a focus on closing deals.

He eventually turned his passion into his profession superyachts offering independent, client-centred guidance from defining the ideal vessel to delivery. He believes in treating clients like family:
